A Perfect Match has approximately 350 registered women under the age of 29 who have expressed an interest in donating their ova to infertile people. We are very proud to say that at the end of 2005 our donors helped infertile families bring almost 400 healthy babies into this world. Our donors are screened for high intelligence, as measured by high scholastic achievement/outstanding scores on standardized college and graduate-school entrance tests, such as the SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, and GMAT.
Each donor completes a personal profile of herself that helps infertile families determine if the donor matches the traits of the infertile family. Each donor is also required to complete a genetic screening questionnaire, as well as a questionnaire that is in compliance with the latest FDA guidelines for tissue donors. Only those donors who meet the rigourous pre-screening process will be placed on the website.
The donor also grants A Perfect Match permission in writing to put her profile on our password-protected Internet database. Furthermore, before clients can access the database, they must sign a confidentiality agreement. In other words, our ovum donors have complete assurance of their identities being protected.
Once a family selects an ovum donor, physical and psychological screening of the donor begins in order to determine her suitability for donation. We also encourage our prospective parents to take advantage of genetic screening and counseling.
Each party will have separate legal representation. Only after the donor has been screened and the contract signed will the donor begin medical procedures.
A Perfect Match coordinates all doctor visits throughout the donation process. If medical procedures take place outside the donor's county, we also coordinate all the donor's travel, hotels, and meals.

Our clients

Our clients are infertile people who are referred to our company from a wide variety of sources, including infertility clinics, ovum donation and surrogacy agencies, and word of mouth.

If an infertile family wants to view our database of ovum donors, we assign them a user name and password (there is no charge for this, although the client signs a confidentiality agreement prior to receiving a user name and password). After viewing our database, clients decide whether to select a donor from it, or have us advertise for them in order to locate a suitable ovum donor elsewhere.
Our clients are asked to complete a brief questionnaire about themselves and their desire to have a family. Parts of this questionnaire will be shared with the donor, though with no identifying information so that you remain as anonymous as you desire. Whatever information you share with the donor is at your discretion. Just as our clients have access to the complete profile of the donor, we believe it is just as important for the donor to have a feel for the people they will donate to. In fact, we hear from many of our donors that having a "real" family to focus on helps them follow through with the difficult aspects of the procedure.
While A Perfect Match does not provide legal, medical, or psychological services, we will refer clients to nationally recognized professionals for them to choose from—or, of course, they may select their own professional services.
